AG-2
So-called "hourglass" gauntlets, end of 14th century. The reconstruction is based on gauntlets from the effigy of prince Henry II the Pious, dated on 1383-1385 . Similar gauntlets are shown on the effigy of prince Boleslaw II the Little of Swidnica-Jawor. The gauntlets are made from 1,5mm steel (0,06') and 1 mm (fingers) . Finger plates are riveted to a strong leather base (ca 2,5 mm thick ). The gauntlet is provided with leather lining fixed with rivets for sewing in textile gloves.
