Belts and
girdles
All replicas of belts and knightly girdles are
based on archeological finds and iconography showing whole belts or their parts
combined according to proper dating and style. Belts are made from vegetable
tanned leather 3-3,5 (~0,12') mm thick and are usually 140-150cm (55'-60') long.
It is of course possible to make longer belts. Edges of belts are secured so
they would not fray.
All belts can be modified
according to your wish; it is possible to change (add or remove) mounts,
buckles, end fittings and engravings. As to the historical accuracy of
modifications and compilations we offer our advice and recommend the
Accessories section, where you can check the dating
and size of various accessories.
For your convenience here
is the explanation of the rule of belt code numbers. For example 7.3.7.2 is: 7 -
buckle B-07, 3 - end fitting S-03, 7 - belt mount M-07, 2 - engraving St-2.
Below you will find the
current stock of our belts. If your chosen belt is not currently in stock,
please give us following details in your order:
1. Belt symbol with
possible changes (buckle, mount, engravings)
2. Leather colour
(available colours": light brown, dark brown, black).
3. Belt length, if
different from 60".
