Leg harness

Leg harness, 14th-15th century. Every part of the plate leg armour is separately shaped and fitted to provide best mobility. The cuisses are shaped anatomically and the articulated lames joining it with poleyns are also shaped to prevent gaps from opening while bending the leg and to maintain historically proper and good appearance. The cuisses are provided with back cover made from leather which can be hardened with beeswax. All buckles are made from brass wire; they can be made from steel or cast in bronze.  Greaves are also shaped anatomically - the ridge is bent in the side view as well as in the front view.
